We believe strongly that Takraw has excitement and value required for an Olympic sport
In an age where we need to be encouraging people to be more active we find the perfect sport to get people moving - That sport is Takraw
For this to happen we do not just need interest from the public. We need public support. We need to support the national associations who will, in turn, support ISTAF the international body which must be strengthened for a bid for Olympic Recognition. STAC has already gained class E membership from the Canadian Olympic Committee thanks largely to the hard work by Rick Engel.

The deals have been done and most of the results are in. ISTAF and UFA Sports have sold rights to several broadcasters including Eurosport. Sepak Takraw has been broadcast before by channels like ESPN but never before has filming and broadcasting been done on this scale. Add to this the fact that ISTAF has customised the rules to suit a TV audience and you can see why there's a buzz surrounding this upcoming tournament.
There have been new hopes for Olympic Recognition with a rallying statement from Abdul Halim Bin Kader - President of the Asian Speak Takraw Federation (pictured). Riding on the back of new surge in Takraw promotion from ISTAF and others, thousands are hoping this elusive status can be reached - Finally gaining the recognition it so sorely deserves.
The Facebook group solely created to spread the word and unite the worlds Takraw fans and followers. Found and spread by all corners of the world, we have had great support and countries of origin are hugely excited about Takraw in the UK, and Europe (where it is steadily growing also).
