We took some nets and Takraws to a well known park in London and played Takraw with a hands on demonstration that anyone was free to join in. People ranged from football fans to people with little coordination but all had fun trying the sport and some of its associated moves! Again the UK public showed promise in our nation becoming a decent team in the future!
STUK planned this open session of Takraw techniques and mini matches. Nothing serious. People of all ages and skill levels were welcome to come and have a try of a Takraw ball, or come and watch others try it.
We'd like to arrange more of these casual Takraw events in addition to our official training sessions. If you're interested in seeing what Takraw is all about, please drop us a message and we'll do our best to arrange something if possible.
We encourage you to get a takraw introduce the sport to a few friends over the park or any other open space. Get out there, get good and play for your country.
