roll spike tutorial (high kick)

The Roll Spike is a trick / technique originating from the sport Sepak Takraw

In order to achieve this feat and remain uninjured, only trained professionals or supervised trainees should attempt it. If you would like to learn safely please contact us to find your nearest Takraw session. Only top class Takraw athletes should attempt this spectacular manoeuvre. Don't try this one at home!

Steps

Step 1 - The Spot
Spot the target before you start to move in for the kill - For a great set up

Step 2 - The Jump
Pull both your arms up whilst jumping on one leg. This helps push yourself up and reach the target

Step 3 - The kick
For a superior kick put your body in a horizontal position and kick your leg so it is fully extended

Step 4 - The landing
The roll spike creates a lot of pressure when urn and land. It is advisable to put one or both hands on the floor when landing.

Tips
Beginners should not attempt a high kick. Start low, Crawl, walk, run in all tings in life! If you practise for 10-30 minutes a day you will soon see perfection surfacing. With dedication you will reach new heights!

Do not fear the trick. Uncontrolled fear is your enemy. Focus is your ally.
